About Suzanne Krueger

Suzanne Krueger

My interest in art began when I was 8 or 9 years old. I would draw pictures from magazines, learning “to see” by copying. I became seriously interested in watercolor in 1993. I am a self-taught artist but have learned a great deal from Colorado artist, Dani Tupper. For me, watercolor is a challenge and an adventure. I love to travel; painting and photographing the places where I’ve been. Since moving to Florida, I find the tropical flora and fauna especially inspiring; providing an endless variety of beautiful and colorful subjects. I love to experiment with different techniques, though my style remains representational. I paint in my “sitio”~the place that is uniquely my own. For me, art is the ultimate retreat.
